The ECI is one of the leading accreditation organisations for coaches and coach-training providers. The Institute is a non-profit-organisation run by coaches, for coaches. It is internationally focused on raising awareness of the coaching profession, working to build and promote best practice, and develop worldwide coaching standards to the highest level.
The Institute enables individuals and organisations to be confident that the coaches accredited by the ECI are highly-skilled, professionals, trained to the best industry standards and ethics. Members have the option to be listed on the International Coaching Register which is another resource clients can access to ensure the coaches they employ are top quality.
Training course providers can also be accredited so that individuals are confident that the courses they access through the Institute are of the very highest standard.
The ECI volunteer team possesses a huge understanding of the issues coaches face and is committed to providing its members with a wealth of supporting information, resources and regular FREE international webinars. This creates an empowering community of skilled coaches constantly building on their skills and knowledge to elevate the success of the coaching industry.

In line with the Institute’s objective to get the profession of coaching acknowledge and regulated at national and international level, the International Coaching Register brings transparency to coaching. The Register will enable the public and organizations to feel safe and secure in the knowledge that the coaches listed are qualified, and their credentials verified to the highest standards. The Institute are concerned that currently anyone can set up a website and call themselves a coach without any formal qualifications, and many such individuals bring the profession a bad name. Qualified coaches are encouraged to come forward and be added to the Register so that it can develop into an internationally recognized trade mark for professional coaches of the highest standard.
